I love thick soups, in fact, I love all pea soups&#8230; must be the Lac Saint-Jean in me! \ud83d\ude42 Served with homemade bread or, even better, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.paulineedward.com\/inthekitchen\/cheezy-biscuits\/\">cheezy biscuits,<\/a> oh, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.paulineedward.com\/inthekitchen\/beer-bread\/\">beer bread<\/a>! these soups make a meal in themselves. Perfect for Saturday lunches.<\/p>\n<h4>Ingredients<\/h4>\n<p>4 cups vegetable broth (or water)<br \/>\n1 cup green (or yellow) split peas<br \/>\n1 small carrot, chopped<br \/>\n1 stalk celery, chopped<br \/>\n1 onion, chopped<br \/>\n2 bay leaves<br \/>\nSalt and pepper to taste<\/p>\n<h4>Instructions<\/h4>\n<p>Place all ingredients in pot.<br \/>\nBring to a boil.
